Our visitor policy is variable and guided by the level of airborne disease transmission in the community. We follow the policies of our local affiliated teaching hospital, Mass General Brigham (BWH).
In times of low/moderate viral load, we welcome one additional adult support person to attend the ultrasound with you. We discourage you from bringing young children to attend this diagnostic medical procedure but understand, in emergency situations, they may need to accompany you. In this situation, we strongly suggest that there is an adult support person with you. If there is no accompanying non-patient adult, we require that you bring a method of safely securing your child (car seat/stroller) in our medical facility as our ultrasound rooms are not ‘child-safe’. If you choose to bring a child, please read Prenatal Sonography: Not Just a Pretty Picture.
In the event of a medical disability that requires you to have more assistance please contact us prior to your appointment.
